The citizens’ advice bureau in Bideford has acquired new premises in Bideford following a successful sale of 13 Bridgeland Street, handled by specialist Commercial Estate Agents, Underwood Warmington. The building was built in the 1600’s as a girl’s school although in more recent times it has been used for a number of catering purposes and until recently a coffee house and nightclubs. The upper floors are arranged as flats. Ground floor space extends to circa 1800 sq ft. Having received instructions from LPA Receivers, the property was offered for sale off a guide of £200,000 freehold. Dean Warmington handled the sale and commented, “interest in this property was shown from a wide range of potential occupiers including investors and developers as well as owner occupiers” Interest in Bideford commercial property has been strong in recent months..... We are hoping that this trend will continue.”
